The Center for Advanced Bariatric Surgery is designated as a “Center of Excellence” by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

The Center, led by Dr. Karl Strom and his integrated team of surgeons, dieticians, nurses and staff have earned this prestigious designation after a rigorous review that examined our safety, surgical outcomes, quality of care and overall performance in service of their patients.

The Bariatric Center of Excellence designation is an indication that The Center for Advanced Bariatric Surgery is among a few select centers around the nation that meets specific performance standards as outlined by the specific guidelines from the ASMBS, and shows consistently positive surgical results for patients.
